A is for AC Golden Tank Room

Ok ... well I guess ... here we go again ...

In A to Z Denver Breweries Round 4, I mentioned that I wasn't sure if we'd do a 5th round of the A to Z Denver Breweries series of posts.

We certainly have a bunch more breweries to visit on the Colorado Brewery Map & List, but there are several letters in the alphabet that are not straight forward to fill in.

However, The SheppyBrew Beer Model (aka my wife) wanted to ride her Pedego to a brewery last Saturday for lunch.

There was an "A brewery" that is a pretty nice ride and that I've been interested in visiting, so we decided to go for it ...

A is for AC Golden Tank Room

The AC Golden Tank Room is located in downtown Denver at McGregor Square on the top floor of Tom’s Watch Bar.

You can look at Coor Field from the patio of this place.

It's actually a fancy enough place that I felt a little self-conscious walking up to the bar in my cycling "kit".

But, I got over that pretty quickly when I got a beer or two.

AC Golden is actually the "Craft" division of Coors. They made their name with Colorado Native, which started as one beer that used only Colorado ingredients.

Over the years the portfolio has grown considerably.

Yes, this is technically "Big Beer", but honestly, I like all the AC Golden beers that I've tried. 

The AC Golden Tank Room is open 4pm-11pm weekdays/ 11am-12am Fri/Sat.

They say they are also open lunch and dinner for all games and events.

They do serve food. The sandwich and tater tots that I had were delicious after the 16 mile bike ride down to McGregor Square.

The Beer Model also enjoyed her food.

I really liked this place and can see myself coming back here before Rockies games. Give it a try if you find yourself down here and want food and beer.

And now ... I guess we're doing Round 5.

Denver has tons of B,C, and D breweries left for us to try. I think it will be H or I before we have to really think about taking "artistic license".

At that point, I'm not sure what I will do. I guess we'll see.
