A.I. Generated SheppyBrew Logo

So ... I mentioned in Roll-a-Style 1 ... 3A. Czech Pale Lager that I was playing around with Chat GPT.

I use the free version, because I think the upgrade just wouldn't be worth paying for.

One of the things in the upgrade version of Chat GPT that really interested me was DALL·E ... which is the technology that allows you to enter a description and the A.I. will generate an image.

I have been thinking that I need a SheppyBrew Logo for awhile, and I thought it would be fun to use DALL·E (or something similar) to generate one for me.

So ... I did some searching, and came across Bing's Image Creator from Designer.

When I signed into it with my Microsoft credentials, it didn't appear to want to charge me, so I think it is free. It might be that I don't have to pay because I already have MS 365, but whatever ... it is something I could play with.

 

I spent way too much time typing in things like:

"logo for "SheppyBrew Home Brewery & BBQ" "Est. 2009" include mountains beer gnomes hops with chicago blackhawk colors"

The generator would give 4 images at a time, and I would modify my request string to add in more detail until I got something I liked.

Eventually, I ended up with 5 favorites and posted them to SheppyBrew's Facebook Page, SheppyBrew's Instagram Page, and Sheppy's Twitter Feed, asking for input.

I was surprised how quickly I got tons of "votes" (tons for someone who doesn't have a huge following).

I was also surprised how one logo in particular dominated the popular "vote".

This one was by far the favorite:

I guess I now have a SheppyBrew Logo.

In case you're wondering, in a distant 2nd was this one (which I think actually might be my favorite):

And the other two didn't really get any love:

So ... I guess I'll go with the popular vote. Even though I think I liked the other one a bit more, the preference wasn't strong enough to override the overwhelming popularity of the winner.

I'm not sure what exactly I'll do with this logo. A couple people on Facebook suggested stickers. One said a tin sign would be cool.

We'll see.

Anyway ... this is one of those endless internet "rabbit holes" you can go down and waste tons of time on. I'm sure I'll play with it more, and I'm equally sure I'll get bored with it fairly quickly.
