It's July, which means that we've made it through the second quarter of 2025. It is time to "report" on the 2025 Q2 SheppyBrew Stats.
Q1 was pretty busy, and I was on track for 120 gallons of beer in 2025.
Q2, on the other hand wasn't nearly as busy. I only brewed 4 batches of beer totaling 20 gallons, putting my projected 2025 volume right at 100 gallons.
The Q2 batches were:
- Melting Stream Spring Saison
- Halfway to Helles Leichtbier
- Summer Lovin' American Wheat
- Gob Stopper Grape Ale
At the time that I'm typing this, I have Melting Stream, Halfway to Helles, and Summer Lovin' on tap. Gob Stopper is fermenting.

Melting Stream Spring Saison |
Halfway to Helles and Gob Stopper are new recipes brewed as part of my BJCP Goal and the Roll-a-Style list.
This puts me at 8 new recipes for 2025 so far. In 2024, I only brewed 7 new recipes all year. Since I'm concentrating on the BJCP Goal this year, I expect I'll brew quite a few more new recipes by the end of the year.

Halfway to Helles Leichtbier |
If I'm counting correctly, I've now brewed 85 of the 108 BJCP Styles, and I can guarantee I won't finish up the list by the end of the year.
Halfway to Helles is the only lager I've brewed this quarter and only the 2nd lager I've brewed so far this year.

Zest for Summer Lovin' American Wheat |
There are not a whole lot of lagers left on the Roll-a-Style list, so I probably won't brew too many more the rest of the year, but there are a few I want to do. I guess we'll see.
The the beers have been all-grain brewed in the Anvil Foundry.
The Beer Model helped me brew Big Brew Day ... Halfway to Helles (Batch 375), so I'm safe to brew over 100 gallons of beer this year, although at this point that certainly isn't necessarily going to happen.

Gob Stopper Grape Ale |
I still have not done a travel brew day yet this year. At this point I don't have any plans to visit either Doc or Du, but hopefully I'll get at least one brew day with my brewing buddies.
I can't think of anything else to share about Q2 brewing stats. As always, you can look at these posts by following the link, Sheppy's Blog: Brew Stats.
