For some reason ... my little 12 5k's of December made me think about this little project. I didn't think of it soon enough to do exactly the same thing, but I thought a "12 Beers Of Christmas" might be sort of fun.
On Sunday, December 14, I pulled a pint of Wrexham Lager out of my beer fridge. This is apparently a 140 year old recipe, brewed in 1882 when two German immigrants set forth to brew in the UK. It is nicely session able at 4.0% ABV. Crisp, clean, and "iconic". Subtly hopped, light and refreshing.

On Monday, December 15, I poured myself my 2nd Beer of Christmas: SheppyBrew Tafel Mystère Belgian Single from my kegerator. This is a simple, sessionable, blond Belgian ale. Basically a triple without the extra alcohol. The rye gives this a nice unique malt flavor.

On Tuesday, December 16, I got a can of Sanitas The Bandito Mexican Lager out of the fridge. Sadly, Sanitas is closing soon, so I picked up a 6 pack from Sanitas Brewing II on my way home the last time I picked up beer ingredients. Not really a Christmas-y beer. Crisp clean and light.

On Wednesday, December 17, I poured a pint of my Gnomeberry Hollow Cherry Porter from the tap. This is my Roll-a-Style 29C. Specialty Fruit Beer. Beautiful black beer with a rich, smooth, chocolate malt base. The cherry is subtle, but comes through just enough to give a nice fruity accent to this wonderful ale.

On Thursday, December 18, I pulled a can of Sierra Nevada's Celebration Fresh Hop IPA from my fridge. This is a classic American IPA that Sierra Nevada brews seasonally for the holidays.
"Freshly picked hops, rushed from farm to brewery, fill Celebration IPA with powerful citrus and pine flavors."
To be honest, this is not my favorite. I think I'd probably prefer it fresh out of the brewery, but that is not an option for me.

On Friday, December 19, I opened and poured a bottle of Breckenridge Christmas Ale. Every year I make sure I get some of this. It is the beer that basically inspired my X-Mas Ale tradition. It is a wonderful winter warmer.
"An abundance of carefully roasted malts create notes of caramel and chocolate, while Chinook and Mt. Hood hops contribute a spicy quality for balance and a clean finish."

On Saturday, December 20, I poured myself a bottle of Sam Adams Winter Lager. This is another seasonal beer I seek out just about every year. Stylistically, they call this a "spiced wheat bock". It isn't the type of beer I would drink any other time, but it is nice around the holidays.
"For colder nights, lean on Winter Lager: a crisp bock with citrus and spices. The clementine orange aroma is especially refreshing during holiday meals and celebrations."
On Tuesday, December 23, Eve of Christmas Eve, for my 10th Beer of Christmas, I popped open a bottle of Sam Adams Old Fezziwig. It is a spiced brown ale, winter warmer.
"Rich & Spiced. Like the character that inspired it, this spiced ale is warm, festive, and worthy of a celebration all its own. Its full body accompanies a deep malt character, with notes of sweet toffee and rich, dark caramel."
On Wednesday, December 24, Christmas Eve, I poured a liter of SheppyBrew's Skadoosh Blond Ale from my kegerator.
On Christmas, I poured my 2025 X-Mas Ale from the kegerator while cooking the holiday ham.

On Sunday, December 21, my 8th Beer of Christmas was Allagash Ski House, a 7.5% Winter White Ale. Sort of an imperial wit. Not my favorite, but again, ok for the holidays.
"Cozy up—or let the festivities commence—with the notes of citrus, spice, and hint of fresh ginger you’ll find in Ski House. This full-bodied wheat beer is brewed to bring you the cheer of a snowy haven, no matter where you happen to enjoy it."

On Monday, December 22, my 9th Beer of Christmas was SheppyBrew's Yoker Belgian Triple, my Roll-a-Style 26C Belgian Triple. Refined, expressive, and deceptively strong. It’s a celebration of balance: fruity but dry, spicy but smooth, bold but drinkable. Whether you’re watching highlights or contemplating abbey architecture, this Tripel delivers a triple-double of flavor, finesse, and finish. Dangerously smooth.

On Wednesday, December 24, Christmas Eve, I poured a liter of SheppyBrew's Skadoosh Blond Ale from my kegerator.
This is a simple blond ale I brewed quickly to have a "father-in-law" beer available for holiday guests.
Nice malt flavor. A decent "C-hop" flavor without being overwhelming.

On Christmas, I poured my 2025 X-Mas Ale from the kegerator while cooking the holiday ham.
This year's version is my Roll-a-Style 17D. English Barley Wine. Rich and strong. Nice winter sipper. Dangerously smooth. Nice strong beer.
So, there you go. I had 12 different beers in 12 days. I'm not sure anyone really even cares, but that's how it goes sometimes.
