If you're not familiar, several years ago, I was a little ashamed at number of Denver breweries I had been to at the time.
Looking at a list of brewery names, it struck me that I could start at the letter A and hit just about every letter of the alphabet.
So, I started the A to Z Breweries Series of Posts with A is for Alpine Dog Brewing Company way back in 2015.
Since then, I've been through the alphabet 4 times, and the Beer Model and I have started round 5 of the project.
In fact, we are up to "H" now. And ... what did we decide as an "H" brewery?
H is for Left Hand RiNo Drinks & Eats
Yes, "Left" doesn't start with the letter "H", but after already hitting H is for Hogshead Brewery, H is for Halfpenny Brewing Company, H is for Holidaily Brewing Company, and H is for Holidaily Brewing Company (DTC), we had to take artisitic license or travel way out of our way.
It's not the first time we've had to adjust this way, and it won't be the last.
Last weekend (as I type this, not as of when this will be posted), the Beer Model and I went on a hike in the morning and decided to head to RiNo for lunch.
Left Hand RiNo Drinks & Eats is located at 4180 Wynkoop St. Suite 140 Denver, CO.
Because the National Western Stock Show was (still is) going on, we had minor issues finding parking, but a nice security officer helped us out.
Of course, living in the Denver area, we've had many excellent Left Hand beers over the years, but the tap list is pretty extensive and we had a pretty good mix of old favorites and beers we've never had before.
And ... this location has a full restaurant menu as well, so we could order food from them as well.
Not the absolute best bar / brewery food I've ever had, but certainly above average. Pretty good.
The beers were all excellent. There was one I actually didn't like, but it was a fruit beer I really knew going in that it wouldn't be "my thing".
Left Hand is a world-class brewery and these beers reflected that.
This location is pretty big, and I image it gets pretty crowded later in the day / evening. I bet it was packed later that night.
It is a fun place.
Give it a visit if you find yourself in the Denver RiNo area. Good food. Great Beers. Excellent atmosphere. What else could you ask for?
And now that we've hit an "H" brewery, next up we need an "I". According to the Colorado Brewery Map & List, we'll have to be pretty creative, but I'm sure we're up to the challenge.
