2025 Thanksgiving Beers

Thanksgiving is here! Merry Thanksgiving from SheppyBrew Brewery.

In lots of ways, it honestly feel like 2025 just began and now it's getting close to being over.

Here at the SheppyBrew Home Brewery, we have a pretty decent lineup of beers available for the Thanksgiving holiday.

  • 1519 Barker Exportbier ...
A crystal clear German Helles Exportbier that was designed based on my memory of college parties when we treated ourselves to premium beers. Nice bread-crust / cracker malt base with a touch of spicy Nobel hop flavor and aroma.

  • Gnomeberry Hollow Cherry Porter ...
Roll-a-Style 29C. Specialty Fruit Beer. Gorgeous black beer with ruby highlights. Rich dark chocolate with subtle cherry notes.

  • Tafel Mystère Belgian Single ...
Originally made as a Belgian Single without being 100% sure what yeast I had harvested. This batch, I actually knew the yeast and brewed partially to build up yeast to brew a Triple.
Even so, this is a great table beer with a Vienna and Rye malt base with subtle Belgian esters.

  • X-Mas Ale 2025 ...
This year, I decided to mark off the Roll-a-Style 17D. English Barleywine for my X-Mas Ale. At 8% ABV, this is on the low end of Barleywine, but high for a SheppyBrew beer. A flavorful sipper. Dangerously smooth and not nearly as boozy as some barleywines.

We also have a selection of commercial beers available for Thanksgiving. I'm not sure how many of these we'll actually drink on the day. New Belgium's La Folie is the one most likely to have. It's sort of tradition.

I won't list the commercial beers. If you really want to know what they are, zoom in on the photo and I believe you'll be able to see the labels.

I hope y'all have a wonderful Thanksgiving ... regardless of whether you're able to drink SheppyBrew for the holiday.
