L is for Little Machine Beer

Well ... I guess I'm doing a little better this time on my A to Z Denver Breweries series.

Early last month I posted K is for Kokopelli Beer Company, and now I'm "already" doing L.

I still need to improve my timeliness or I'll never get through the alphabet.

As a reminder ... in regards to my A to Z Denver Breweries series .....

Back in early 2015, I composed a list Denver Breweries that I had not visited (see Denver Breweries II). As I was composing the list, I realized that most of the letters in the alphabet were covered by the first letters in these brewery names.

I started with A ... A is for Alpine Dog Brewing Company

and now I am up to L.

L is for Little Machine Beer

Little Machine Beer is in a great location practically right next to the Denver Broncos Mile High Stadium. When I went, the Broncos were playing in Cincinnati, so the place wasn't too crowded. I bet the brewery is packed on Bronco Home Games.

The address is 2924 West 20th Avenue, Denver, CO 80211

They have an awesome tasting room with a circular bar. There are lots pictures and sculptures of robots in and around the building.

It is a cool little place. Go experience it yourself.

And the beer was awesome too.

I had two flights of 4 beers, and did not have all the beers on the menu. I also took home a growler to enjoy that evening.

The beers I had:
Flight 1:

• Chicken Suit Helles Lager -- You know I like a good Helles, and this one certainly was. Clean pilsner malt flavor with a hint of noble hop character. Just what a German Helles should be.
• Sky-Wired Wet Hop Strong Pale -- A wet-hopped pale ale made with Colorado Cascade hops. This is the beer I took home in a growler.
• Marzen Attacks Festbier -- Rich Munich malt without going overboard on that bready flavor. Nice clean lager finish. Beautiful Oktoberfest type beer.
• Racerback English-Style Pale Ale -- An English Pale Ale. Floral hops aroma and flavor. A bit of honey malt base.

Flight 2:

• YAFI IPA -- A big beautiful West-Coast American IPA. GREAT American hop aroma. Colorado hops were used in this beer. 
• Rosie Red IPA -- "A Classic Colorado IPA". I didn't like it as much as YAFI, but still very good. According to the menu description, both Colorado malts and Colorado hops are used in this beer.
• Diffuser American Brown Ale -- This was a good brown ale reminiscent of Moose Drool. Not as hoppy as I make my American Browns, but probably a bit more "in style". Tasty beer.
• Double Coffee Brown Ale --  Lots of expresso coffee flavor without taking away from the base beer. I thought it was a bit sweet for my tastes, but very very tasty none-the-less.

Every beer I had was worth drinking and most of them were excellent.

As I mentioned, I took home a growler of Sky-Wired Wet Hop Strong Pale. It was as good in my backyard as it was in the tasting room.

This is another brewery that I suggest you check out when you get a chance.

As you can probably guess, my next brewery in the series will start with the Letter M.
