V is for Village, Greenwood, Downhill Brewing

It is hard to believe we're so close to the end of the 5th round of our A to Z Denver Breweries series of posts.

I posted A is for AC Golden Tank Room only a little over a year ago to begin round 5.

And ...

I posted U is for GUanella Pass Brewery just at the end of last month.

Of course, according to the Colorado Brewery Map & List, I didn't really have any local breweries that actually start with the letter "V", but if you've been following along, you know we don't let that interrupt the concept.

V is for Village, Greenwood, Downhill Brewing

Downhill Brewing, Greenwood Village is a second location of Downhill Brewing which started in Parker, Colorado.

Downhill moved in at 9672 E Arapahoe Rd, Greenwood Village, CO 80112 after P is for Peak View Brewing Company closed its doors.

One trend I've noticed in the Denver area is that while breweries are closing, other brewing companies tend to move into their locations fairly quickly.

Quite often, the new resident is an established local opening an additional location.

Anyway ... there isn't really a bike route that the Beer Model feels confident riding to this area, so I did my #GCCUSA2024 ride early in the morning and we drove to Greenwood Village for lunch.

They actually have good pizza.

As far as I can remember, the place looks pretty much exactly the same as it did when it was P is for Peak View Brewing Company.

We each ordered a flight of 4 beers to begin with.

The beers were good. I certainly enjoyed the beers that I ordered more than the ones that the Beer Model ordered.

We certainly don't always agree on what beer styles we like.

We did both order pints to finish off lunch with.

It was a nice little Saturday lunch. Check this place out if you find yourself in Greenwood Village, Colorado.

And there we are .... now that we've checked off "V", we need to decide on a "W" brewery. 

According to the Colorado Brewery Map & List, thee are actually have a choice here. I think I know what we'll use, but you'll have to stay tuned at Sheppy's Blog: A to Z to find out what we use.
