So ... as you know if you've been following along on this blog, I've been posting Fathers' Day photos recently.
If you have not been following along and are interested, check out 2025 Fathers' Day Photos (Part 1) and 2025 Fathers' Day Photos (Part 2).
Now, I'm posting the finale, Part 3.
We got up Sunday morning and the boys made me pancakes for breakfast. Then we packed up the camp.
It is sort of a tradition to on our get-away days from RMNP to visit and spend some time admiring the "Alluvial Fan".
"In 1982 a breach in the earthen dam at Lawn Lake brought down a devastating wall of water sweeping vegetation and debris that would eventually form the Alluvial Fan as we see it today. The boulder field and sediment surrounding the Alluvial Fan are remnants of this destructive event."
Basically, we spent enough time in this spot to get us to about time to make it into Estes Park for lunch.
Took more photos than probably necessary.
And, none of them are as spectacular as the experience actually was.
So, if you get the chance, visit this area yourself.
After leaving the park, it was about lunch time so we stopped at Estes Park Brewery for Fathers' Day Lunch.
And then, we headed home. What a wonderful weekend it was.
