Over half way through! It is difficult to believe.
And amazingly, even after 5 and a half rounds of the alphabet, we still have tons of local Denver-area breweries to go through.
We don't always hit the letter perfectly, but for the most part we've found a "reasonable" candidate for every letter so far.
Of course, in some cases we have to stretch the definition of "local" as we did in M is for Moonlight Pizza & Brewpub.
Luckily for "N", we had a couple of choices on the Colorado Brewery Map & List, and we picked ...
N is for North River Brewery (RiNo)
Ok ... the actual name is River North Brewery (RiNo), but "North River" works better for hitting the "N".
You may remember that in Round 4, we hit R is for River North Brewery at River North's other location.
The RiNo that we visited last Saturday is at 3400 Blake Street Denver, CO 80205, which is a reasonable 18 mile bike ride.
So we packed a lunch and got on our bikes to head down to RiNo.
It is a nice little taproom / brewery sort of close to Coors Field. It has a nice local bar feel. As luck would have it, the Beer Model knew the bartender so that was sort of cool.
"Welcome to the RiNo Taproom, River North Brewery’s vibrant location in the heart of Denver’s River North Art District. Located at 3400 Blake Street, Denver, CO 80205, this lively taproom is just a short distance from Coors Field, Mission Ballroom, and some of the city’s best restaurants. With 12 rotating beers on tap and serving as our pilot brewery, it’s the perfect spot for a pint whether you're stopping by before a show, after a game, or just exploring the neighborhood. Plus, enjoy our dog-friendly patio and consider booking the RiNo Event Room for your next private event or party."
They don't necessarily have an up-to-date tap list, but their "Our Beers" page gives a decent representation of beers they have.
We had two flights of four with our lunch.
- Colorado IPA
- ReverDorf Kolsch
- Lil Colorado Session IPA
- Mountain Haze IPA
- Fifteener West Coast Double IPA
- River North Triple
- J. Marie Imperial Saison
- Quandary Quad
All the beers were yummy. The bike ride home was pretty fun as well.
And ... now ... we'll go to an "O" brewery to visit. The Colorado Brewery Map & List has a couple of really good choices that I'm excited for.
But you'll have to stay tuned on Sheppy's Blog: A to Z to find out what we pick.
