We're getting close to the end of Round 4.
Next up ... "R", which you can probably deduce is much more straight forward than "Q" was.
The Colorado Brewery List has tons of "R" breweries to choose from.
In fact, it was a little intimidating to choose just one.
As luck would have it, I actually got an e-gift card from my employer for one of the local "R" breweries ... and that basically made the decision for me.
Well, technically it narrowed the choices down considerably, because this brewery has two locations ...
R is for River North Brewery
We ended up picking the "Washington Street Taproom", because Google Maps said the driving time was a little less to that location ... even though it is farther away.
It is located at 6021 N. Washington Street Denver Colorado.
From the website:
Located at 6021 Washington Street, we offer sixteen beers on tap, adog-friendly taproom and patio. You'll find our barrel-aged beers along with fresh pilsners, IPA's and Belgian-inspired beers. Let our knowledgeable staff guide you through our immense selection of beers!
Their hours are:
Monday & Tuesday: CLOSED
Wednesday - Friday: 3pm - 8pm
Saturday: 1pm - 8pm
Sunday: 1pm - 6pm
This location doesn't serve food. They do have a food truck schedule posted, but they don't open until 1pm, so we decided to have lunch at home and bring snacks to the brewery.
We got a flight of mostly their Flagship Beers.
Inexplicitly, the Beer Model ordered a 16% "Double Barrel Aged Last Guardian" as part of the flight.
I wasn't surprised that she wasn't a fan. I'm not sure what she was thinking.
Other than the Last Guardian we both liked all of the beers.
Go ahead and visit if you find yourself on the North side of Denver.
Next up ... we need visit an "S" brewery. Like "R" ... there are tons of "S" breweries on the Colorado Brewery Map & List. I'm not sure which one we will pick for round 4.
It won't be S is for Spangalang Brewery, S is for Station 26 Brewing Company, or S is for Smash Face Brewing.
Keep an eye on Sheppy's Blog: A to Z to see what we end up going to.
And ... as always stay tuned on the regular SheppyBrew Channels to see what is happening with biking, brewing, barbequing, and other things: SheppyBrew's Facebook Page; Sheppy's Twitter Feed; SheppyBrew's Instagram Page; and SheppyBrew's Website.Of course, don't forget to visit this blog often as well!
Go Blackhawks!
