E is for Someplace Else Brewery

It's been awhile since we've posted to the A to Z series of posts.

But, the series is still on our radar, and after D, we needed an "E" brewery to visit.

You may remember from D is for Denver Beer Company that there are no "E" breweries on the Colorado Brewery Map & List for use to use in the Denver area.

But, as you know if you've been following along, we don't let that sort of thing stop us.

We're more than willing to take artistic license if we don't have a new brewery starting with a letter.

This time, we picked ....

D is for Denver Beer Company, Olde Town Arvada

If you've been following along on this blog, you probably know that we've been working on round 6 of our A to Z series of posts.

After A to Z Denver Breweries Round 5, we still have a ton of local breweries on Colorado Brewery Map & List that we've never visited.

We'll have to take "artistic license" on several letters (we already had to on A is for Arms, Call To Brewing Company), but I think we'll still be able to work through the whole alphabet.

You may remember that after C is for Cohesion Brewing Company, we skipped ahead to I is for Incantation Brewing.

Now we're back to our regularly scheduled program ... and we are ready to hit "D" ...

O is for Odyssey Beerwerks

It's been awhile since we posted N is for 4 Noses - Park Hill.

We've just been doing other things, and have not had an opportunity to head out to another brewery.

This past Saturday, though, the SheppyBrew Beer Model (aka my wife) decided it was about time to hit our next A to Z Brewery.

Since we did "N" last time, now it was time to find an "O" brewery.

According to the Colorado Brewery Map & List, we had a few to choose from, and the Beer Model picked out ....

R is for Resolute Brewing Company Arvada Tap & Cellar

Right after "Q" in the alphabet is "R". You may already know this.

As you may remember from the end of Q is for LiQuid Mechanics Brewing Company, Finding breweries that started with the letter "R" was not going to be a problem.

There are several I could have chosen in the Denver area.

Last weekend, my wife (aka the SheppyBrew Beer Model) chose for me.

We actually went for a hike / walk up north of Denver in the Arvada / Golden area.

And after the hike / walk, she directed me to local Arvada brewery tap room ...

N is for New Image Brewing Company

As you probably know if you follow this blog semi-regularly, I have made it my quest to visit more Denver breweries.

Back in 2015 ... I noticed that if you look at a list of Breweries in the Denver area ... most of the alphabet was covered in the fist letters of Brewery names.

In March of 2015, I decided to start with "A" (A is for Alpine Dog Brewing Company).

In January of 2019, I finished with "Z" (Z is for Zuni Street Brewing Company)

And, this year, I've started over at A is for Alternation Brewing Company.

I call it my my A to Z Denver Breweries Project, you can follow along by bookmarking the link.

Remember M is for Mirror Image Brewing Company? As you can tell, I'm working my way through the brewery alphabet much faster this time than the first time.

At the end of that M post, I mentioned ...

"I have an "N" brewery picked out. Stay tunded on Sheppy's Blog: A to Z to find out what I pick."

Not only did I have one already picked out, but The SheppyBrew Beer Model and I had already visited the brewery when I wrote that.

Arvada Beer Co.

Arvada Beer Co. is one of the tons of little Denver-area breweries that have popped up in the past couple of years. Shamefully, I had not visited them until this past weekend when I had to drop of my 2013 National Homebrew Competition entries*.

According to Google Maps, Arvada Beer Co is located a mere 12.6 miles straight North of my house, which is less than a half hour drive. Heck, I should be able to ride my bike there in around an hour.

5600 Olde Wadsworth Boulevard
Arvada, CO 80002

I had never been there, but I felt sort of like I knew Cary and Kelly Floyd, because I hear them about once a month on my pod-casts of the Colorado Craft Beer Show, which I listen to every week. Turk and the Gubna currently broadcast once a month from Arvada Beer Co.
