After A to Z Denver Breweries Round 5, we still have a ton of local breweries on Colorado Brewery Map & List that we've never visited.
We'll have to take "artistic license" on several letters (we already had to on A is for Arms, Call To Brewing Company), but I think we'll still be able to work through the whole alphabet.
You may remember that after C is for Cohesion Brewing Company, we skipped ahead to I is for Incantation Brewing.
Now we're back to our regularly scheduled program ... and we are ready to hit "D" ...
Denver Beer Company is interesting in that they always seem to be adding new locations. At the moment they have 5 taproom / brewery locations all across the Denver area.
You may remember that we already used D is for Denver Beer Company - Downing in round 4. I'm sure we'll use another location or two sometime in the future.
Anyway, this past weekend, we headed up to Olde Town Arvada to have lunch at its version of Denver Beer Company.
It is conveniently located at 5768 Olde Wadsworth Blvd, Arvada, CO 80002.
Technically, the Arvada location of DBC doesn't serve food, but the taproom has a permanent Mighty Colorado Burger food truck right inside, so we didn't have to pack a lunch for this trip.
They serve the "typical" Denver Beer Company beers and also have quite a few beers they brewed just for the Arvada taproom.
While there, between the Beer Model and myself we tried:
- Vadapils ... an "American" pilsner.
- No-Delo ... a light Mexican lager
- Vdunkel ... a very nice dark lager.
- Digital Snow Day ... a spruce tip IPA.
All of them were delicious.
The burgers from Mighty Colorado Burger were yummy too. So were the tater tots I had with the burger.
They also gave me a very good AHA discount, and one of the bar tenders and I talked for a bit about brewing.
It was a great time.
And now ... we've marked "D" off our brewery list. Up next, we'll be looking for an "E" brewery.
According to the Colorado Brewery Map & List, there are no "E" breweries that we have not already covered in previous rounds.
So, we'll have to be a little creative.
At this point, I have no idea what we'll do for an "E" brewery, but I'm sure we'll come up with something.
Keep an eye on Sheppy's Blog: A to Z, and you'll know shortly after we figure it out.
