H is for CHeluna Brewing Company

Here it is April already. This year is just flying by.

It wasn't all that long ago that we posted G is for Great Divide Brewery & Roadhouse, Belmar.

Of course, as you know if you follow along on the A to Z series of posts on the blog, this meant that we need to figure out an "H" brewery to visit next.

I mentioned in G is for Great Divide Brewery that we were going to have to take "artistic license" in our "H" brewery.

There just are not any local breweries that start with the letter "H".

And ... the SheppyBrew Beer Model (aka my wife) was up to the challenge and was cleverly able to save the day with ....

Q is for Six Capital Brewing and BBQ

Recently, I posted P is for Peak View Brewing Company in our A to Z Denver Breweries series of posts.

If you're familiar with the concept behind this series and are fairly well acquainted to the English alphabet, you probably can deduce that next up we had to find a "Q" brewery.

I imagine that is doesn't surprise you that the Colorado Brewery List doesn't have any breweries that start with the letter "Q".

In round 1, I visited a Meadery,  Q is for Queen Bee Brews

In rounds 2 and 3, I took artistic license and hit Q is for LiQuid Mechanics Brewing Company and Q is for barQuentine Brewing Company.

It's my game ... I get to make up the rules. So ... what did we choose this time? When it came right down to it, there was only one choice ....

J is for Jade Mountain Brewery and Teahouse

Well ... if you read I is for {"Immersion Brewing","Immigrant Son Brewery","Independence Brewing","Independent Brewing Company","Insight Brewing Company","Ivanhoe Park Brewing Company"} ... you know we cheated a little on the "I" brewery of our A to Z Denver Breweries series of posts.

Shameless.

We need to get our "J" brewery posted so we can get the taste of that unfortunate post out of our figurative mouths.

I'm glad to say that we actually had a couple of good local brewery choices for our "J" brewery.

Last weekend the SheppyBrew Beer Model (aka my wife) and I played Pickle Ball, and then we headed out to lunch at a brewery ...

A is for A Bit Twisted Brewpub

It was just last week that I posted A to Z Denver Breweries Round 3.

As I mentioned, it looks like there are still enough breweries in the Colorado Brewery Map & List that I believe we can do a round 4.

This past weekend, we decided to go ahead and start round 4 with an "A" brewery.

There were a couple of good candidates on the List.

When it came right down to it, though, there was one that made more sense than the others ...

L is for Lady Justice - By Guest Blogger, known by many names but for this purpose, MBW (Main Blogger's Wife)

 

I have known my friend, Kristi, since we were about 3 years old. I moved away when I was 6. We maintained contact through the years, first through letter writing, then through email, then Facebook. She has started her own company, focused on creating a safer and more equitable world for women. She recently wrote a book (titled Quit being so Good), and her summer book tour brought her to the Denver area. She wanted to contact a women-owned brewery, and I told her about Lady Justice, although Sheppy and I had not been there yet. We were considering making it our “L” brewery when Kristi messaged me at work one day and asked me to meet her there. I agreed, and since Sheppy did not visit the “L” brewery, I am making the entry as a guest blogger.

On this 3rd round of the A to Z Denver Brewery series, the last brewery we had visited was a K brewery, so next up is:

“L” is for Lady Justice – “Great beer can make the world a better place”

P is for Peak to Peak Brewery

If you follow my "A to Z Denver Breweries Project", you know that I finished 2019 strong.

During the year, I worked my way from  1 is for 14er Brewing Company to O is for Ohm Brewing Company.

Most of those brewery visits were after July.

I got to B is for Briar Common Brewery + Eatery in early April, and didn't get to C is for Colorado Plus Brew Pub until August.

So, I hit 16 new breweries in alphabetical order over 11 months ... and 13 of those in 4 months.

My first time through, it took me 20 months to get to "O" (O is for Our Mutual Friend Brewing Company).

I don't think I'll keep up the ridiculous pace that I did after August last year, but I am planning on finishing my way through the alphabet by the end of 2020. If I do one a month, I should finish by November.

Then, I'll probably start over again, but we'll talk about that when we get there.

So, as you know ... after "O" comes "P". Big "P". Little "p". What begins with "P"?

U is for Ursula Brewery

Well ... you may remember that in November and December, I made a lot of progress on the the A to Z Denver Breweries series.

Since mid-November until late December, I moved from N is for New Terrain Brewing Company to T is for TRVE Brewing Company.

I even covered Q with Q is for Queen Bee Brews. When I started this project, I thought I'd never find anything for Q.

Wondering what the hell I'm talking about ... check out Sheppy's Blog: A to Z ... I think you'll be able to figure out the concept.

It is as simple as A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T.

And now ... What comes after "T"?

You guessed it ... "U".
