Of course we posted F is Frolic Brewing Company just the weekend before, which is a quicker turn-around than most of our recent ones.
After "F" comes "G" and the Colorado Brewery Map & List told us we had plenty of choices.
But I ended up picking a spot that isn't even on the Map & List yet. I'm pretty sure this is the first time we've been able to get to a brewery so new.
Great Divide Brewing company (see G is for Great Divide Brewing Company) sent me an email letting me know they opened a new "Brewery & Roadhouse" close to our house.
And ... the wife (aka the SheppyBrew Beer Model) wanted me to take her out to dinner Friday night, so we hit the new brewery.
They are located at 7260 W Alaska Dr. Lakewood, CO 80226 in the Belmar area of town.
Nice that they serve food, have the ability to take reservations, and have plenty of parking. Perfect for a date night.
From the website:
"Welcome to the Great Divide Brewery & Roadhouse. We’ve brought together the craft beer you know and love from the Great Divide Brewing Company, and the delicious food and friendly service from the Colorado native restaurant group Vibe Concepts. Our newest location is NOW OPEN in Belmar of Lakewood! This location’s menu features new Vibe Concepts items to pair with your favorite Great Divide Beer. Come check us out!"
For the most part, the beers we had there were ones we already had back in G is for Great Divide Brewing Company.
We did sample a "White Russian Yeti", which was tasty, but not something either one of us would really drink more than a taste of.
The rest of the beers were awesome.
And the food menu was really good too.
They seem to have a pretty good selection of breakfast / brunch foods.
Of course we chose from the dinner menu.
The Beer Model had "Da Bomb", Mac & cheese wrap, blacked ground beef patty, shredded cheddar, onions and peppers with a side of "chili ranch".
It was good, but I liked my "Philly Burger" better. Basically a cheese-steak - like burger.
They have tons of T.V.s on which we were able to see NCAA Basketball games while there.
It was honestly a great dinner date.
And now ... it is time to move on to an "H" brewery. We're moving into a streak of breweries where we'll have to take "Artistic License" for local breweries, and at the moment I have no idea what will satisfy the "H".
We'll figure it out, though.
Stay tuned on Sheppy's Blog: A to Z and you'll find out shortly after we do.
