Earlier this month, we posted H is for CHeluna Brewing Company.
If you're familiar with the A to Z concept or even just familiar with the English alphabet, you'd probably be expecting us to move on to "I" next.
"I" does indeed come immediately after "H", but we already did I is for Incantation Brewing, visiting Incantation on the very last day they were open.
So, in this case, we are now up to "J".
According to the Colorado Brewery Map & List, there was really just one logical choice ...
J is for Justice Lady Brewing
Well ... ok .... the name of the brewery is actually Lady Justice Brewing, but Justice Lady makes it start with "J".
And ... we actually already used Lady Justice in Round 3 when my wife (aka the SheppyBrew Beer Model) visited it with her friend, leaving me behind.
L is for Lady Justice - By Guest Blogger, known by many names but for this purpose, MBW (Main Blogger's Wife) is easily the longest title on this blog AND the only one I didn't write.
We also decided this was ok to use again, because after L is for Lady Justice, the brewery actually moved to
3242 S. Acoma Street, Englewood co 80110, which is much closer to where we live.
It is even close enough that The Beer Model was willing to ride her bike.
So, on a sunny Saturday, we packed up a lunch and rode bikes down to the Englewood location.
Ironically, we passed my brewing buddy "Doc" and his wife on their eBikes on the bike path.
Anyway, the location is very convenient for us, and I think we might have to make our way to it more often. When they moved, I didn't really pay attention to where they were moving to. Had I realized it was as close as it was, we probably would have visited sooner.
And the taproom is excellent with a really nice beer garden area.
We each ordered a flight of 4. Mine was:
- All Y'all ... 6% Chili Stout
- Man-splaison ... 5.8% Saison
- Sandra Day ... 6.4% IPA
- Sunday Best ... 6% Juicy Pale Ale
The Beer Model ordered:
- The Price is Rice ... 4.2% Rice Lager
- Bob's Yer Lager ... 4.2% Amber Lager
- Ski Jorts ... 4.5% Pale Lager
- [somehow we ordered Man-splaison twice]
Since all the beers were very good, I decided to try another set of beers:
- Chosen Family ... 5.5% ESB
- They Can't Tow Us All ... 6.6% IPA
- Ale You Need is Love ... 4.6% Red Ale
- For The Record ... 6.5% Stout
And all these were outstanding as well.
It is rare that I like all the beers in the flights, but here at Lady Justice I really did.
And the location being so perfect means that I'm sure we'll be there again. I suggest you stop by if you get the chance.
The ride home went well.
And now that we've marked "J" off our 6th round, it is time to figure out a "K" brewery.
"K" is another one of those letters that we'll either have to travel quite a distance or we'll have to take artistic license on what "starts with K" actually means.
If you follow along on Sheppy's Blog: A to Z and you'll find out what we pick.
As always, stay tuned on the regular SheppyBrew Channels to see what is happening with beer, barbeque, biking and other things in my life: SheppyBrew's Facebook Page; Sheppy's Twitter Feed; SheppyBrew's Instagram Page; and SheppyBrew's Website.
