Still More @Untappd Badges 14

Wow. It has only been really long time since I've done a report on my untappd badges. Mostly, I was waiting to get to 500 unique beers, which is quite a milestone. Plus, I have not been earning them all that fast since Thanksgiving or so.

I can't imagine why you would want to, but you can look at all the posts (including this one) by going to the "untappd" label on this blog.

Since Still More @Untappd Badges 13, I've earned the following:

Beer-giving (2013):  Pretty simple. Just checked in a beer on Thanksgiving. I drank more than one beer on Thanksgiving, but the one that got me the badge was USA IPA from American Sky Brewing Co. in Hudson, WI where we were spending the holiday with my sister and her family.

Find the Source (Level 5): I had five more beers close to the brewery at which it was made. Got to Level 4 real quick. Things are slowing down. The beer that got me to this level was Nomad from Great Divide Brewing Company.

Merry Brew-mas (2013): Another pretty obvious one. I simply drank and check-in a beer on Christmas. Again, I am sure I had more than one type of beer that day, but the one that got me the badge was (the Redhead) Eric's Red from SheppyBrew Brewery. Pretty badge, don't you think?

Happy Brew Year (2014): To get this badge, I had to check in a beer on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day. Another pretty easy one. Again, I had more than one beer in this time period, but that beer that got me the badge was Runtime Error Nilva Brewhouse. It was a wonderful home-brewed vanilla porter. Makes me want to brew a vanilla porter of my own.

Brew Bowl XLVIII: All I had to do for this badge was drink a beer on Super Bowl Sunday. Of course the result of the game was a huge disappointment, but at least I got to drink good beer. The beer that got me this badge was SheppyBrew's X-Mas Ale 2013.

Birthday Brew (Level 3): Had a beer on my birthday. Level 3 because this is the third time I've had a beer on my birthday since joining untappd. The beer I had was SheppyBrew's She Who Must Be Obeyed.

Heavy Weight (Level 6): Another one of those levels. I drank another 5 "dark" beers (a total now of 30) to get to this level. The beer that pushed me up to level 6 was Graham Cracker Porter from Denver Beer Co.

Lager Jack (Level 5): Checked in my 25th lager onto untappd.  The beer that got me to level 5 was Bavarian Helles from Copper Kettle Brewing Company.

Trip to the Farm: I got this badge for drinking 5 saisons. It is one of those badges that supports leveling, so once I drink 5 more, I'll get to level 2. The beer that got me the badge was. Saison Savoureux from Copper Kettle Brewing Company, and it was a nice beer.

Pale as the Moon (Level 8): That was 5 more Pale Ales checked into untappd for a total of 40. The beer that got me to level 8 was 312 Urban Wheat Ale from Goose Island Beer Co.

And last, but certainly not least ...

Legendary: Yes, since I've joined untappd, I've had 500 unique beers. I know some of you out there laugh at such a small number, but it is a lot for me. My 500th unique beer was 312 Urban Wheat Ale from Goose Island Beer Co. Incidentally, I had this beer in the 312 area code waiting for a plane to get me back from Chicago to Denver.

That is 11 more badges since Still More @Untappd Badges 13. I now have a total of 142 badges. I've actually had a couple more beers since getting the Legendary badge, putting me at 503 unique beers checked into untappd.
