Still More @Untappd Badges 13

It has only been about a month since I've done a report on my untappd badges, and I already have enough new ones that it is time to do another. Most of these are simply new levels of badges I've previously earned.

I can't imagine why you would want to, but you can look at all the posts (including this one) by going to the "untappd" label on this blog.

Since Still More @Untappd Badges 12, I've earned the following:

Find the Source (Level 4):  Considering that most of the beer I drink at my own SheppyBrew Brewery, and the majority of the rest is at Denver Breweries, it makes sense that I should be able to get through level 10 pretty quickly. The only thing that would hold me back is that I don't always remember to tag where I am drinking a beer. The beer that got me level 4 was Kölsch at Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery.

Land of the Free (Levels 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10): Yes, in about a month since my last report, I've gone from Level 1 to Level 10. What can I say? I drink Local Beers, and I live in the United States. I don't think I've actually had 45 different beers since my last post, so there is some weird retro-active thing going on. I have now maxed out this badge. The beer that got me to level 10 was my own 2013 X-Mas Ale.

Untappd 3rd Anniversary: Untappd turned 3 years old in mid-October. To get this badge, all I had to do was check-in a beer on their birthday. Actually, I think they even gave a couple-day range for this badge. I think I got it the day before their birthday. Anyway, the beer that got me the badge was Hoopla from Boulder Beer Company.

Oktoberfest (Level 2): I'm not sure when I got level 1, but since then I've apparently had 5 different Oktoberfest lagers. 10 seems like a pretty big number considering these are not around much of the year. But, a dedicated and promiscuous beer drinker such as myself made the sacrifice and got it done. The beer that got me to level 2 was Oktoberfest from RAM Restaurant & Brewery / C.B. & Potts.

Witch's Brew (2013): All I had to do to get this badge was drink a beer on Halloween. Just in case, I had a few. The first one I drank to get me this badge was Omega Moo Milk Stout from Dry Dock Brewing Co.

Stout Day (2013): This is the 3rd year of Stout Day, and my 3rd Stout Day badge. I didn't blog about #StoutDay this year, but of course I had a couple of stouts. The beer that got me the badge was Shotgun Russian Imperial Stout from Dry Dock Brewing Co.

Heavy Weight (Level 5): Apparently, I like my beer thick and black. I've had 25 "dark" beers to get to this level. The beer that got me to this level was Porter from Backcountry Brewery. Not really a creative name, but a really good beer. The Beer Model and I got it as payment for watching two extra kids a couple weekends ago.

Pale as the Moon (Level 7): Or maybe I like my beers light colored and hoppy. I am moving up the levels much faster on this one than Heavy Weight. Every time I drink 5 new Pale Ales, I get another level on this badge. The beer that got me to level 7 was Man Overboard at Dry Dock Brewing Co.

So, that is 16 new badges since Still More @Untappd Badges 12. Like I mentioned, the math doesn't work out on all the beers I've had, so I know untappd is giving me retroactive credit on some of these newer badges with levels, but still, that is an impressive variety of beer drinking over the past 30 days or so.

I am now up to 131 badges and I've checked-in 465 unique beers since I joined untappd. If you would like to be my untappd friend, go ahead and give me a request https://untappd.com/user/esheppy.

While you're at it, go "like" SheppyBrew Brewery on Facebook.

If I don't see you before Thurday ... Happy Thanksgiving everybody.
