February 2014 Blogging

This blog got 7 more "page views" in February than it did in January.

7. Seven.

So, February is the new "page view" record holder, by a real tiny amount, but when you consider 28 days as opposed to 31 days, it was actually a real strong month.

By far, the most-viewed post this month was The Problem with Mr. Beer from Mar 4, 2013. You may remember it was #2 last month and #3 the month before. It has gotten enough attention lately that it is now in the top 10 all-time most viewed posts on this blog. I figure lots of people got Mr. Beer kits for Christmas. They, or in the case of December, the people who purchased the gift, got to googling, and came across my site. It is interesting (at least to me) that I have not done a Mr. Beer batch in more than 2 years, but I still get from time to time questions about Mr. Beer brewing. At this point, I just send them on to the Mr. Beer Discussion Forums.

#2 ... August 2012 Blogging Sep 1, 2012 ... The August of 2012 version of the very post you are reading right now. It has been getting lots of traffic lately from Google Images because it has the ever famous Female vs. Male Brain picture on it.

#3 ... All-Grain Version of the White House Honey Ale Nov 12, 2012 ... #8 all time most viewed post on this blog. Just an all-grain recipe of one of the famous Obama Beers.

#4 ... Colorado 6 pack May 29, 2013 ... Has had a pretty decent amount of traffic for a couple months now. It actually moved down a spots on the all-time list to # 9.

#5 ... SWMBO and Schnockered Feb 1, 2014 ... Just some standard Sheppy talking about home-brew stuff post.

#6 ... All-Grain Version of the White House Honey Porter Sep 14, 2012 ... #6 all time most viewed post on this blog. Just another all-grain recipe of the other famous Obama Beer.

#7 ... Cider Drinking and Breast Flashing May 19, 2011 ... Seems like a real long time since this one has gotten significant traffic, but it is the #7 all-time viewed post on this blog. I guess either people are starting to get interested in Simple Hard Cider, or for some reason wanting to re-live the infamous breast-flashing event in Vancouver 3 years ago.

#8 ... Why Gender Matters? Feb 18, 2014 ... I think the important take-away from this post is that someone from Women Enjoying Beer reads my blog, even if she don't want to admit it. (by the way, I am a big fan of women who is enjoy beer. My wife is one of them).

#9 ... Still More @Untappd Badges 13 Nov 25, 2013 ... Not sure why. Just go with it.

#10 ... Brewing Arctic Vortex Black Saison Feb 25, 2014 ... I had never brewed a saison before. And I still have not, because this one is a Black Saison. It is in the fermentor right now. I will actually probably be taking a gravity reading today.

And that is the list of posts that have gotten the most page-views over the past 30 days. I know these posts are probably pretty boring for most people, but it is somewhat interesting to me to look through these from time-to-time.
