S is for 6 and 40 Brewery

Well ... if I'm counting correctly, we only have 8 more letters in the alphabet to finish up round 4 of our little A to Z Denver Breweries series of posts.

We're flying through the alphabet!

We posted A is for A Bit Twisted Brewpub mid-June of 2022 and a little over a month ago we posted R is for River North Brewery.

And ... now ... of course we needed an S brewery ...

The Colorado Brewery List has tons of "S" breweries to choose from.

But when it came right down to it, there was really only one I thought we should visit.

6 and 40 Brewery is located at 883 Parfet Street, Unit J, Lakewood, CO 80215, right next to one of my favorite homebrew shops, Tom's Brew Shop in Unit I.

Of course I've been to this brewery a few times while picking up ingredients at Tom's, but the Beer Model (aka my wife) had never actually had a beer here.

They have a food truck schedule and a hotdog stand that is open from time to time, but we decided to just bring a picnic lunch from home.

They have a pretty big beer list for such a small cozy space, and all the beers we had there were fantastic.

I think they do a particularly great job brewing lagers.

I believe the Beer Model's favorite was Wrinkle Wall Pale Mexican Lager

I really liked the Bochito Amber Mexican Lager.

Actually we both liked them all.

After lunch, we stopped by Tom's Brew Shop to pick up ingredients for a future brew day.

Stay tuned on this blog to find out about that beer.

Next up ... we need visit an "T" brewery. There are tons of "T" breweries on the Colorado Brewery Map & List.

However, after filtering out breweries the start with "The", breweries that are too far away from our house, and breweries we've already blogged about in the A to Z Denver Breweries list ... there is really only one good choice.

Keep an eye on Sheppy's Blog: A to Z to see which brewery we pick.

And ... as always stay tuned on the regular SheppyBrew Channels to see what is happening with biking, brewing, barbequing, and other things: SheppyBrew's Facebook PageSheppy's Twitter FeedSheppyBrew's Instagram Page; and SheppyBrew's Website.Of course, don't forget to visit this blog often as well!

Go Blackhawks!
