October Blogging

Well, the October page-views blew away September's on this blog. This of course continues the streak of monthly record breaking page-views that has been going on since May of 2011. This is not too much of a surprise as GABF seems to attract significant traffic to this blog every year.

And what have my readers been looking at? Glad you asked. Here are the top 10 view pages over the past 30 days:

#1 ... Pale Ale Dec 20, 2011 ... This just barely overtook Female vs. Male Brain. It is obviously still getting lots of love from the google images search of the SRM chart. It is still climbing the all-time list. Now it is at #3. Last month it was at #4.

#2 ... Female vs. Male Brain Oct 28, 2011 ... First time in a long time it was not #1 for a month. This post is still dominating on the #1 all-time viewed page list, and probably will be for quite some time.

#3 ... Don't read this pre- #GABF post Oct 11, 2012 ... I told people not to read this, but several people did.

#4 ... Women and Beer Jul 23, 2011 ... Still #2 all-time, and not really in much danger of losing that #2 spot to Pale Ale yet.

#5 ... 2012 #GABF Thursday Night Oct 12, 2012 ... One of those GABF posts that seem to bring lots of traffic to my blog every year around GABF time.

#6 ... All-Grain Version of the White House Honey Porter Sep 14, 2012 ... Continues to do well in its 2nd month of existence. I think there are still lots of home-brewers out there who want an all-grain version of thise recipe.

#7 ... Novelty Beers ... Oct 2012 "Session" ... My first time participating in "The Session" (aka Beer Blogging Friday).

#8 ... Beer Motivation Oct 21, 2011 ... This has done well the past couple months, but is still not on the all-time list. It is one of those posts that seems to attract lots of hits from images searches.

#9 ... July 2012 Blogging Aug 1, 2012 ... If this post keeps popping up I am going to take it as proof that someone likes these stupid "page view" posts. The trust is that it appears that the same image that makes #1 popular brings people to this page.

#10 ... 2012 #GABF Friday Night Oct 13, 2012 ... Another GABF post that tends to do well during GABF month.

I know I have said this before, but I don't think next month will continue this historic streak. October did just too well to expect that November can even come close. Who knows, though, it is certainly possible that some GABF momentum will continue. If the old standard popular posts continue to do well and I can come up with some more interesting content, perhaps it may be possible.
