Round 3 of my A to Z Denver Breweries Project.
The SheppyBrew Beer Model and I finished A to Z Denver Breweries Round 2 with Z is for Zuni Street Brewing Company (again), and we're starting right over at the beginning of the alphabet.
As I mentioned in A to Z Denver Breweries Round 2, I have breweries for A through C picked out already.
In fact, the Beer Model and I biked to a "C" brewery last weekend.
You'll have to wait to see what that "C" brewery is, but I'll tell you right now what I picked for "A".
Big A. Little a. What begins with A?
A is for Altitude Brewing & Supply
A. A. A.
Altitude Brewing & Supply is actually primarily a Denver Homebrew Shop, but they also have a little tap room area with a decent selection of beers.
Last Sunday, I decided to go for a bike ride after brew day. I needed some Dry Malt Extract, and I thought I might as well make a LHBS ride to pick some up.
Altitude Brewing & Supply has a decent online store with the option of picking up at the store. So, I entered my order, got on my bike and headed down to
2801 Walnut St
Denver, CO 80205
I popped in, picked up my order and thought I might as well get a pint while I was in there.
You can see what they have on tap on their Our Beers Page. I ended up with a Patio Amber Pale Ale which is an American Amber / Red. 5.3% ABV 32 IBU.
I thought it was pretty good.
I didn't stick around very long. I had to get back home to watch the Broncos and Barbeque some bacon wrapped pork loin.
If you want to stop in for homebrew supplies or a beer, their hours are:
Mon - Thurs: 10am-6:30pm
Fri - Sat: 10am-9pm
They will also ship orders. I assume that is only for brew supplies ... not beer, but I didn't ask.
So, there you go. "A" in round 3 is knocked out. Stay tuned on Sheppy's Blog: A to Z to see what I pick for "B" (and which brewery we visited for "C").
Stay health everyone!
