Well ... no need to wait any further ... today is the day you get to see that F is for post I promised.
In case you are wondering what the hell I'm talking about ...
Back in February of 2015, I was embarrassed by the huge number of Denver Breweries that I had never visited.
It struck me that if I went down the list, the starting letters of the brewery names represented almost every letter of the alphabet. That was when I started my A to Z Denver Breweries Project on this blog.
I finished Round 1 in February of 2019.
On Saturday, during my break of the second of two Century Rides, my wife (aka The SheppyBrew Beer Model) wanted to go out to lunch at the "F Brewery" we had picked out.
F is for FlyteCo Tower
FlyteCo Tower is a really unique brewery.
From their website:
FlyteCo Tower is a brewery, restaurant, coffee bar and entertainment venue located at a former air traffic control tower in the Central Park neighborhood of Denver. Coming in at over 20,000 sqft of space, FlyteCo includes two levels, three full bars, and one huge outdoor patio.
They are not lying in their description. It. Is. Huge.
The Beer Model is in charge of picking a spot for her company to do an event. This is one of the options.
So, not only were we checking out the food and beer, we were checking out this place as a potential spot for a party.
Between the two levels, three full bars, and huge outdoor patio, there are tons of things to do here.
The most obvious from walking around is that they have a multiple bowling lanes set up.
They have a full food / coffee / drink menu.
It doesn't really have the vibe of a brewery, but they do have brewing equipment set up and ready to brew.
The food and beer were good. We had a little trouble with their ordering system, but the manager was very helpful, and it all turned out fine.
Random note ... our server had no idea what a "beer flight" is. The Beer Model kindly explained it to her, but I'm not sure the waitress actually got it.
Regardless, this place is awesome.
Check it out.
Next up ... "G".
According to the Colorado Brewery Map & List, we have a few really interesting options for our "G" brewery, and I have no idea which one we'll choose.
Keep an eye on Sheppy's Blog: A to Z to see what we end up going to.
And ... as always stay tuned on the regular SheppyBrew Channels to see what is happening with biking, brewing, barbequing, and other things: SheppyBrew's Facebook Page; Sheppy's Twitter Feed; SheppyBrew's Instagram Page; and SheppyBrew's Website.Of course, don't forget to visit this blog often as well!
Go Bears!
