It is the 15th of September. We're about halfway through The Great Cycle Challenge.
I've pledged to ride 1000 miles over the course of September to raise money and awareness for the Children's Cancer Research Fund.

Halfway through the month, to be "on track", I need to have completed 500 miles.
I'm a little over that, so I'm doing well.
To reach 1000 miles in 30 days, I have to average 33.3 miles per day. So far I'm averaging 46 miles per day.
Now that I'm so far ahead, I only have to average 20.7 miles per day for the rest of the month.
My longest ride was 105.7 miles. (#GCCUSA2022 Ride #3). The least number of miles I've ridden in a day (other than yesterday when I didn't ride at all) was Friday September 9 with 18.45 miles (#GCCUSA2022 Ride #12)
As I type this, I've raised $4,396.66 for the Children's Cancer Research Fund. There is still plenty of time to donate if you'd like to help raise that total.
I also bought a new (to me) fancy road bike that has really been making my rides easier over the past few days.
I'm pretty confident that I'll meet my 1000 mile commitment. I just have to stay healthy. 311 miles over 15 days is still a lot, but not nearly as much as I've done so far.
Hurray for me! .. feel free to follow along ...
