J is For BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse

Here we are continuing along on our A to Z Breweries Series of Posts.

When I posted I is for Sanitas Brewing II a couple weeks ago, I mentioned that "J" is going to be another challenge.

The Colorado Brewery Map & List has a fair number of  "J" breweries, but I used all the local ones in previous rounds.

I considered using Jake's Brew Bar, which is close to us, but that isn't a brewery.

My wife (aka the SheppyBrew Beer Model) thought we could do "J is for Justice, Lady" (Lady Justice), which she has been to but I didn't go to.

Last weekend (as I type this, not as of when it gets posted), we happened to be in Phoenix watching my son play in an Ultimate Frisbee tournament, and we had a decent break for Lunch on the first day.

We ended up at a Phoenix Brewery / Restaurant ...

There are tons of these across the country. We were at the "Desert Ridge" location at 21001 North Tatum Blvd. Phoenix, AZ 85050.

There are several in the Denver, Colorado area as well.

The closest to me is the Denver West location at 14245 W Colfax Avenue, Lakewood, CO, 80401.

If you want to find a location near yourself, check out their "Find a location" page.

They have lots of their own beers, and serve lots of guest beers as well.

The beers that I had were really good.

The food was yummy as well.

The Ultimate Tournament went pretty well ... University of Denver finished 4th in the tournament, which is better than they were ranked pre-tournament, so they did better than expected.

It was a fun weekend.

So... I'm considering this my "J" brewery, which means we need to find a "K" brewery next.

According to the Colorado Brewery Map & List, we have at least one good choice to visit. Stay tuned on Sheppy's Blog: A to Z to see what we pick.

As always, stay tuned on the regular SheppyBrew Channels to see what is happening with beer and other things: SheppyBrew's Facebook PageSheppy's Twitter FeedSheppyBrew's Instagram Page; and SheppyBrew's Website.
