2026 Q2 SheppyBrew Stats

July! It is already July, which means it is time to report on the "Brewing Stats" for Q2 of the SheppyBrew Home Brewery.

If you read my Q1 report, you know that I was on track to brew the least amount of beer ever in 2026.

While, I did brew a little more in Q2, I didn't speed up very much. After brewing only 3 batches of beer in Q1, I brewed only 4 in Q2.

I'm no longer on track to brew the least amount of beer I've ever done in a year, but I'm certainly on track to be down to the 2nd or 3rd least amount.

Chelsea Dagger Pre-Prohibition Lager

Anyway ... in Q2 I brewed 4 batches:

Only Ground Hog Premium Lager was a new recipe, which gives me a total of 4 new recipes in 2026 so far.

Where'd My ManGo Wheat

None of these batches helped with my BJCP goal, so I've still brewed 91 of the 108 styles. (assuming I'm counting correctly)

Chelsea Dagger and Ground Hog are both lagers, bringing my total for the year to 5 lagers. I've sort of unofficially in my head declared 2026 the "Year of the Lager", so I expect I'll brew quite a few more before the end of the year. For context, I only brewed a total of 5 lagers in 2025.

All 4 beers were "All Grain" brewed in my Anvil Foundry.

The Beer Model brewed Where'd My ManGo Wheat with me, so if I somehow brew over 100 gallons of beer this year, I'm good with the TTB.

Other than brewing more lagers, I don't really have specific plans for the rest of the year.

I'm not sure what else to share about the 2026 Q2 SheppyBrew Stats, so I'll end this post here.
