My blog currently says it has gotten 12,713 page views in the last 30 days. That is a ton for my blog.
February will be the highest number of views this blog has ever gotten. Back in June of 2016, I hit 11,124 page views. Then for a little over half a year, the number fell steadily. It sort of had some ups and downs until late last year.
Now the blog seem to be trending up. I seem to be trending very steeply.
I'm not sure how much of this traffic is robotic (I suspect the vast majority of it is), but I like to pretend that every page view is an actual real person.
12,713 makes me feel very popular.
Almost half of those page views happened on two days ... 2/6 and 2/23.
On those days, anyone coming to blog.ericshepard.com would have seen Progress on #5000MilesIn2020 and Brewing the Stone Soup IDA as the first articles on the list.
Very few viewers actually clicked in to read those pages.
The top 10 viewed posts were:
Those top 2 were posted in 2012. Not sure why they are so popular now.
3 through 10 were posted this month.
So .... what does all of this mean?
Nothing.
Just wanted an excuse to mention 12,713 page views.
Between the time I wrote this and now ... I had another spike and am up to over 14,000 steps over the past 30 days.
