I gave you an update after my first month of riding (see Progress on #5000MilesIn2020) .
Now that February is complete, I thought I'd give another quick update.
To be honest, February was a tough month for outdoor riding in the Denver area. We had a fairly snowy month, and other things seemed to keep coming up to prevent me getting on my bike.
However, I did make my 350 mile goal with the help of stationary bikes at the gym.
I got just over 377 miles total. About 265 miles of that was indoors. You can do the math if you need to know how much I got on my actual outdoor bike.
So, according to the plan, I'm on track for the 5000 miles in 2020. March is likely to be another snowy month, so I suspect it will look similar to February.
My plan for April is to step up the miles a little. Then quite a bit in May. June will be my big month for the Great Cycle Challenge.
And then, in July, I'll start to wind down a bit on the miles.
January | 314 miles | 314 ytd
February | 378 miles | 692 ytd
March | 350 miles | 1000 ytd
April | 400 miles | 1400 ytd
May | 600 miles | 2000 ytd | ||
June | 1000 miles | 3000 ytd
July | 600 miles | 3600 ytd | ||
August | 400 miles | 4000 ytd
September | 350 miles | 4350 ytd
October | 350 miles | 4700 ytd
November | 300 miles | 5000 ytd
December | 0 miles | 5000 ytd |
