Now that March is complete, I thought I'd give another quick update.
March weather is generally the snowiest month in the Denver area, and although there is often really great weather, I was expecting that I would spend a lot of time on the stationary bike at the gym.
But ... about halfway through the month, Covid19 shut down my gym.
So ... after mid-March all my biking was on an actual bike in the outdoors.
Anyway ... the initial goal for March was to hit 350 miles. I ended up at almost 489 miles for the month. Only 84 miles were in the gym. The rest were outside on my actual gravel bike.
For the year, I'm at 1181 miles.
So, I'm on track.
Another thing to note is that the Great Cycle Challenge has been postponed from June to September. I might have to adjust the plan ... or maybe not. At this point, we'll leave the monthly goals alone.
Not sure if I'll want to commit to hitting 1000 miles in September, when the Denver weather can be unpredictable.
[Who am I kidding? Every month's weather is unpredictable]
