I've gone from A is for Altitude Brewing & Supply to J is for Jackass Hill Brewery following the alphabet.
When it came to "K", though, the Colorado Brewery List didn't have any breweries close enough for me to want to visit.
I could have gone to Boulder or Longmount, but I didn't want to drive that far (and the Beer Model certainly didn't want to cycle that far).
And I had a brewery that I thought was close enough ...
K is for Copper Kettle Brewing Company
Copper Kettle is located at 1338 S Valentia St #100 Denver, CO, 80247.
They are certainly not a new brewery, and to be honest we have been there before. I've even mentioned them on this blog a couple times, but never in context of the A to Z Denver Breweries.
Hopefully, I won't regret not having them available as a "C" brewery in round 4. I guess we'll see.
From their website:
"Copper Kettle Brewing Company is a locally owned mom and pop brewery with a tasting room established in Denver in 2011, surrounded by local neighborhoods. CKBC seeks to create what America seems to have lost: a local neighborhood bar in which we strive to know your name and your story. Sit down, relax, and enjoy a beer with new and old friends."
They have a beautiful tasting room and a nice space outside to enjoy their beers. They have beer-to-go (as does everyone who was able to survive all the Covid shutdowns).
Last Saturday, we drove to the brewery, stopping by the Garlic Knot to pick up some lunch.
We got a huge flight. They have quite a selection of beers. There were none that I didn't like.
If you'd like to see what they have, it looks like their Beer Page is kept very up-to-date.
Their hours are:
Monday - Thursday: 2-9 PM
Friday & Saturday: 12-10 PM
Sunday: 12-8 PM
You can contact them at info@copperkettledenver.com or (720) 443-2522.
Great beer and a good time. Check them out.
Next up, "L". I am fairly certain which one we will visit. Stay tuned on Sheppy's Blog: A to Z and you'll find out what we picked.
If you want to guess ... it will probably be one of the breweries on the Colorado Brewery List.
Go Bears!
