D is for Diebolt Brewing Company

As you know if you've been following along with the A to Z Breweries Series of Posts ... the Beer Model and I have started a 5th round through the alphabet.

We started our 5th round a couple months ago with A is for AC Golden Tank Room.

We continued earlier this month with B is for Black Shirt Brewing Company, and then followed up with C is for Cannonball Creek Brewing Company.

D is another letter that has still has a few choices.

As it turns out, the SheppyBrew Beer Model (aka my wife) and I had the same brewery in mind for our "D" brewery ...

It was a beautiful autumn day this past Saturday, and Diebolt Brewing Company is a relatively short easy bike ride along mostly safe bike paths.

So, the Beer Model was willing to ride her eBike to get there.

Diebolt is located at 3855 Mariposa St, Denver, CO 80211 in the "Sunnyside" neighborhood on the North side of downtown Denver.

For us, it is a ride along the Bear Creek and Platte River bike paths.

We got there a little before noon, which is when the website said they opened. There were already quite a few people in there, which was nice to see.

I got the feeling that most of them were "regulars".

The tap list has a pretty big variety of beers.

Surprisingly, we were able to get our first flight of 6 beers of only lagers (and one Kolsch).

I thought all the beers in the first flight were spectacular.

We got a 2nd flight of 6 "other" beers ... IPA's, Saisons, and a Barrel Aged Imperial Stout. All of these beers were good, but I much preferred the first flight.

This is an awesome location. A really great neighborhood brewery.

Plus, if you are a cyclist, it is a couple bikes from a main bike path through Denver.

Stop by if you get a chance.

The ride home was wonderful.

Next up ... we need a "E" brewery. According to the the Colorado Brewery Map & List, there are not many "E" Denver breweries that we have not already visited.

There is one that I am thinking we'll hit, though.

Keep an eye on Sheppy's Blog: A to Z and you'll find out which one I'm thinking of.

As always, stay tuned on the regular SheppyBrew Channels to see what is happening with beer and other things: SheppyBrew's Facebook PageSheppy's Twitter FeedSheppyBrew's Instagram Page; and SheppyBrew's Website.

Go Blackhawks.
