B is for Black Shirt Brewing Company

So ... I it is official now ... we're doing a 5th round of the A to Z Denver Breweries series of posts.

I guess.

We certainly have a bunch more breweries to visit on the Colorado Brewery Map & List, but there are several letters in the alphabet that are not straight forward to fill in.

For now ... we are good ... once we start hitting letters without breweries, we'll figure out what to do.

If you read #1000MileSeptember #GCCUSA2023, you know that Saturday I finished off my Great Cycle Challenge. There is still plenty of time to donate, and of course I'll doing it again next year, but I think for now, this is the last time I'll mention the Great Cycle Challenge for awhile.

But the 2nd ride of the day was with the SheppyBrew Beer Model (aka the Pedego Owner aka my wife).

We rode to ...

They are located at 3719 Walnut Street Denver, CO 80205, which is a little farther a ride than we usually do for a brewery ride. Round trip was almost 40 miles, which was a lot considering I had already done 60 miles earlier in the day.

However, it was worth the effort. They have a nice location with a nice taproom and patio seating as well as a great beer garden out back.

We chose the beer garden to eat and drink in. I think this is the best choice on a nice weather day like Saturday was.

We started with a 4-beer flight while we waited for a pizza.

I liked all the beers we had here. I would say their beer was above average in comparison with other local breweries we've been to.

I also thought the pizza was fantastic.

I think our large pizza was a bit much for a lunch where I have to ride 20 miles home, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

We had a great time at the brewery. I wholeheartedly endorse this brewery if you find yourself in the area.

The ride home was great too ... even though by the time I got home I was pretty much done being on the bike for a few days.

So ... now that we've officially decided we're doing a round 5, we'll need to pick a "C" brewery.

According to the the Colorado Brewery Map & List, there are a ridiculous number of "C" breweries, and so we have a lot to choose from.

I have a couple in mind.

Keep an eye on Sheppy's Blog: A to Z and you'll see which one we choose.

As always, stay tuned on the regular SheppyBrew Channels to see what is happening with beer and other things: SheppyBrew's Facebook PageSheppy's Twitter FeedSheppyBrew's Instagram Page; and SheppyBrew's Website.
