After typing up SheppyBrew's Most Brewed Beers, I got to thinking ... "what am I going to do with my Roll-a-Style list once my 'Bench' has been emptied?"
Ok ... not something I have to worry about for a long time (and really ... why would I worry about it at all?) ... but in only 8 Roll-a-Style brews, my "Bench" will be empty.
As a computer geek, here is what I came up with:
I made a change to SheppyBrew.com where my recipe page will randomly pick a previously brewed beer when the id=random.
IE ...
http://www.sheppybrew.com/recipes/recipe.aspx?id=random
So, my Roll-a-Style will slowly switch from giving me new styles to randomly giving me a beer I've already brewed, but likely not in quite awhile.
As I type this, I'm realizing that by the time I get to this point, there is likely to be a new version of the BJCP Guidelines, and I'll probably be able to fill the list with new styles.
Oh well ... I may want to use the random recipe picker for some other reason.
Anyway ... as a reminder ... my Roll-a-Style list looks like this:
My "Bench" now includes:
- 6B. Rauchbier
- 9B. Eisbock
- 17D. English Barley Wine
- 22D. Wheatwine
- 25A. Belgian Blond Ale
- Historical Beer: Lichtenhainerg
- Historical Beer: Roggenbier
- 10A. Weissbier
