If you're not familiar ... back in February of 2015, I was embarrassed by how few Denver Breweries that I had visited.
I decided to make an effort to hit more of them, and worked my way from A to Z, hitting a brewery for every letter.
Now, more than 11 years later, I have made my way through the alphabet 6 TIMES, and the Beer Model and I have decided to start #7.
Just about a week ago, I posted C is for Cerberus Brewing Company. This means we are ready for a "D" Brewery.
D is for Dry Dock Pub
So ... Dry Dock was one of my favorite breweries before it recently closed at its previous location. The owners also owned my favorite Home Brew Shop.
The owners wanted to retire, and closed the Home Brew Shop and sold Dry Dock to the Left Hand empire.
Then, towards the end of 2025, they closed down the old Dry Dock location with the promise to open in a new location where they could offer food.
Recently, they opened the Dry Dock Pub. at 1101 South Pearl Street Denver, CO 80210 in the Washington Park area.
This is an easy biking distance for the Beer Model and me, so we got on our bikes and headed to the new pub.
It was a beautiful day and a great bike ride.
The Pub is an awesome spot with great food and wonderful beer.
It doesn't really feel like "Dry Dock" to me. Most of the beers they have on tap are from other producers.
I'm pretty sure there are more Left Hand beers on the menu. Because they serve food, they also serve cocktails, which I'm sure is great for lots of people, but doesn't really interest me.
I bet this will be wildly popular for people who live in the area. I also do they we'll return.
I don't see myself really really considering it a Dry Dock. I feel like I'll always miss the old original location.
I'm hoping that eventually they'll add more Dry Dock beers and start having more experimental beers. That might help me accept the change.
Regardless, it is nice place. If you find yourself in the Wash Park area hungry or thirsty, I totally endorse a visit to the pub.
And now ... we've checked "D" off our Round 7, which means we need an "E" brewery.
According to the Colorado Brewery Map & List, we've used all the "E" breweries in the Denver area, so this is the first letter of the round that I believe we'll have to take artistic license on.
