25 Beers of December part 3

Remember 25 Beers of December part1 and part2?

Everyday in December up until Christmas, I'm drinking a different beer.

Some of them are from the "Twelve Days of IPA's" 12 pack that my wife bought me. Some of them are homebrews. Some are from local breweries.

We left off on the 15th of December, which means we have the 16th of December up until today to account for.

On the 16th of December, I had Stone's Features and Benefits IPA

It is a low calorie, low carb, low gluten, low alcohol "session" IPA. To be honest, I wasn't a fan. It's body was too light for me, and the hops didn't meld was with the malt flavor (or lack thereof). I'm glad I tried it, though.

On the 17th of December, I had my homebrewed Puppy Monkey Baby.

Puppy Monkey Baby is a blond / gold color ale with honey and rye malt and a nice crystal hop finish.

On the 18th of December, I had Stone's Fear Movie Lions.

FML is another from the Twelve Days of IPAs 12 pack. And another one that I didn't think was all that great. Too Sweet and not hoppy enough. Can taste the alcohol just a bit too much.

On the 19th of December, I had Stone's Exotic Destinations from the Twelve Days of IPAs pack.

Exotic Destinations is a 7.5% creation loaded with Citra and the brand new HBC 692 hops. Huge floral aroma with notes of citrus and sweet fruit plus just a hint of tartness. I think this was my favorite of the 12 pack so far.

On the 20th of December, I had Stone's Cosmic Runestone IPA from the Twelve Days of IPAs pack.

Cosmic Runestone is brewed with Voss Kveik yeast and juniper berries along with healthy dose of Centennial and Sabro hops. This was another one that I didn't really care for.

On the 21st of December, I had the Stone Soaring Dragon Imperial IPA from the Twelve Days of IPAs pack.

The Soaring Dragon is a high alcohol IPA brewed with white tea. Surprisingly, this was one of my favorites of the 12 pack.

So, there you go, we're almost to Christmas. Only 4 more beers until Christmas.

Stay tuned, as I drink a different beer every day before Christmas, I'll share more. Sheppy's Blog: 25 Beers of December.

Go Bears.
