I did it.
Sunday, I went on a couple of bike rides that pushed me over 5000 miles for the year.
I still have quite a few miles to meet my Great Cycle Challenge pledge, so it is looking like I'll actually end up with over 6000 miles this year.
At the beginning of the year, I thought hitting 5000 miles would be somewhat more difficult than it ended up being.
I hate to say it, but the Shelter-in-Place requirements of 2020 probably makes it easier to get bike rides in. Biking is one of the things that was never really affected by the pandemic ... at least here in Colorado, so I ended up biking a lot more than I would have if I went to work as usual or had access to the health club.
I was also able to get a couple of Strava KOM's on Sunday. The segments don't have a lot of people who ridden them, but still I've never gotten a KOM before, so I consider it an accomplishment.
My Great Cycle Challenge got a couple of big donations since last time I mentioned it on this blog. I've raised over $3000 for it this year. This means I get a "Super Hero" jersey.
Stay tuned on the regular SheppyBrew Channels to see what I look like in that jersey:

Be healthy everyone!
