I didn't brew quite the ridiculous amount that I brewed last quarter, but still quite a bit.
I brewed 6 batches and 31 gallons of beer.
Helles in a Hand Bock-sket |
I'm not nearly on the same pace of last year's total, but I am on pace for the 2nd most batches and gallons I've ever brewed. Currently, I'm on pace for about 140 gallons in 2021.
The 6 beers I brewed this quarter were:
- Helles in a Hand Bock-sket
- Chelsea Dagger Pre-Prohibition Lager
- Lithuanian Lovin' Wheat
- Shoddy Pale Ale
- Eric's Red Ale
- Hail Storm Summer Saison
Chelsea Dagger Pre-Prohibition Lager |
As I mentioned in SheppyBrew 2020 Year-End Brewing Stats, I am planning on concentrating on existing recipes. I have tons of nice beer recipes that I have not brewed in awhile, and I thought it would be fun to make some of those.
Lithuanian Lovin' Wheat |
So, I have not been brewing very many new recipes this year, but I did brew two new recipes in Q2 (Lithuanian Lovin' Wheat and Shoddy Pale Ale ).
I brewed 2 lagers this quarter (Helles in a Hand Bock-sket and Chelsea Dagger Pre-Prohibition Lager). I hope to brew more lagers in Q3.
Shoddy Pale Ale |
All my brews have been all-grain. And, all but one of them have been in my new Anvil Foundry. My Lithuanian Lovin' Wheat was a brew day where I packed up brewing equipment, so I went old school with my old mash tun and propane burner. (see Big Brew Day ... Lithuanian Lovin' Wheat)
Other than trying to brew more lagers, I don't really have plans for what will happen in Q3.
Eric's Red Ale |
