According to Strava ... I'm up to 174,890 feet of elevation gained on my bicycles so far this year, putting me just over 6 Everests in 2021.
It's true. 29,032 x 6 = 174,192.
I've also cycled 3,013.8 miles, putting me on track for over 5,000 miles for 2021.
Speaking of bicycle mechanical problems, my gravel / road bike needs a new bottom bracket. One is on order, and I hope to have it soon, but until it arrives, I'm staying off this bike.
So ... since 5th Everest of 2021, I've been using the Mountain Bike much more.
I have quite a few decent mountain bike trails fairly close to my house, so I ridden to some of them and then ridden on them.
I feel like this has been great exercise and that road biking will feel easier when I get that bottom bracket.
My plan is to ride 1000 miles in September. Between now and then, I'll beg for people to donate money. If you would like to help out with a donation, go to my GCC Rider Page ...
Since last time, I received my 2021 GCC Jersey, and a few generous donation have help me pass $1,400 raised. My goal is to get to $2,500, so I still have quite a long way to go.
Lots of my most generous donors wait until the ride month to donate, so I should get close.
In the meantime ... I'm still cycling. Feel free to keep watching me on the regular SheppyBrew Channels to see what is happening with beer and other things: SheppyBrew's Facebook Page; Sheppy's Twitter Feed; SheppyBrew's Instagram Page; and SheppyBrew's Website.
Of course, don't forget to visit this blog often as well!
