And, yes, according to the Colorado Brewery Map & List there are quite a few Denver area breweries starting with the letter "T".
However, we've already used T is for TRVE Brewing Company, T is for Two22 Brew, T is for Tivoli Brewing Company, and T is for Tommyknocker Brewery, and most of the other "T" breweries on the Colorado Brewery Map & List are too far away for just a brewery visit.
There is another local brewery I could use, but honestly, I've never thought this brewery makes very good beer, and I didn't really want to subject myself to beer I don't like.
So ... I am taking a little "artistic license" here ...
T is for Tilray Beer Brands, Littleton
Honestly, if you know craft beer at all, especially in the Colorado area, you've likely heard of this brewery, but unless you're very much a beer geek, you are not really that familiar with the brewery by the name Tilray.
You're more likely to know the brewery by the name "Breckenridge Brewery". This would make a great "B" brewery, but we've already covered "B" earlier this round.
So ... why do I call it Tilray, Littleton?
Well, you can read up on their history, but just real quick:
For a long time, Breckenridge Brewery was a small, independent brewery located in the mountain town of Breckenridge.
They grew and eventually opened brewing operations in Denver. The merged with another local brewing company, and around 2015, they opened a beautiful campus on 12 acres in Littleton, Colorado ... right by the bike path. A great location.
It wasn't long, though, before they were purchased by Anheuser Busch at about the same time AB was buying up several other mid-sized regional craft breweries.
In 2023, Anheuser Busch dumped most of their "Craft" breweries, and Breckenridge Brewery was picked up by the Cannabis company, Tilray. Breckenridge is part of the Tilray Beer Brands portfolio.
Technically, Tilray Beer Brands is America's 6th largest "Craft Beer Company" (according to Forbes as of 2023).
So ... Breckenridge Brewery beer is back to be considered "Craft Beer", unlike when they were owned by Anheuser Busch.
Anyway ... even when I called them "AB-InBev Littleton", I still loved the beer and the Littleton "Farmhouse" location is absolutely a fabulous campus.
This past weekend, we headed over to 2990 Brewery Lane Littleton, Colorado 80120 for lunch.
The beer was good. The food was excellent. The venue was fantastic.
This is a spectacular spot for lunch and dinner. We've done the brewery tour a few times as well, and really enjoyed it. If you like that sort of thing, this is one of the best brewery tours I've ever been on.
They also have a great selection of live music and things to do outside ... check out their Events Page to see what they have going on.
And ... so that was our "T Brewery".
Next up ... "U". I have no idea what we'll do for a "U" brewery. U was tough for rounds 1 - 4. I'm really struggling to see anything for this round.
But ... I'm sure we'll figure something out. Stay tuned on Sheppy's Blog: A to Z and you'll find out shortly after we do.
As always, stay tuned on the regular SheppyBrew Channels to see what is happening with beer and other things: SheppyBrew's Facebook Page; Sheppy's Twitter Feed; SheppyBrew's Instagram Page; and SheppyBrew's Website.
Go Bears!
