X is for Los Dos Potrillos MeXican Restaurant and Brewery

After W is for Westbound & Down (Denver), we just have 3 letters left to finish off round 4 of our  A to Z Breweries series of posts.

Wow!

I started off Round 1 of the project with A is for Alpine Dog Brewing Company way back in March of 2015 because I was embarrassed at how few Denver Area Breweries I had been to.

It took me almost 4 years to finish Round 1. I got through Round 2 in less then half  the time.

At some point, my wife (aka the SheppyBrew Beer Model) joined me, and since then we have been flying through the list.

Round 4 started with A is for A Bit Twisted Brewpub in June of 2022. Here it is, less than 1 year later and we're already on "X".

Ok, yes. "Los" doesn't start with "X". We are claiming the "X" in Mexican. "X" is a difficult letter for this sort of thing.

Deal with it.

Last Saturday, we played Pickle Ball. Locked ourselves out of my wife's vehicle. Had AAA get us back into the vehicle, and decided to do lunch at Los Dos.

Los Dos has several locations, but as far as I know this is the only one where they brew their beers.

19340 Cottonwood Dr. Parker, CO 80134.

Apparently this is a very popular place because it was packed on a Saturday lunch time.

They don't really have a huge selection of their own beers. I got a pint and the Beer Model got a sample flight.

The beers were all pretty good, but none of them were fantastic.

And ... none of them had very good head, which probably means the glassware wasn't completely "beer clean".

The Beer Model said she really like her Chimichanga. I thought my burrito was fine, but nothing I'd rave about.

Overall a good lunch experience. Not great, but good.

Regardless ... we've marked off another "X" Brewery. Yes, we had to take artistic license, but here we are.

Big Y ... Little Y ... What begins with "Y"?

A yawning yellow yak with Yolanda on his back?

Yellow Beer?

Yampa Valley?

Honestly, I have no idea. Frankly, the Colorado Brewery List isn't much help.

There is only one way to find out ... stay tuned on Sheppy's Blog: A to Z.
