In late December we posted N is for New Image, Wheat Ridge, and so we're over half-way through round 4!
We only started round 4 in June with A is for A Bit Twisted Brewpub, so we're really flying through the alphabet.
So, after "N" comes "O". In previous rounds we did O is for Our Mutual Friend Brewing Company, O is for Ohm Brewing Company, and O is for Oasis Brewery.
According to the Colorado Brewery Map & List, we had a couple of options, but I really wanted to try out one in particular ...
O is for Old 121 Brewhouse
Old 121 Brewhouse is located at 1057 S Wadsworth Blvd. Suite 60 Lakewood, CO 80226, which is pretty close to where we live. I've ridden my bike past it a few times.
It is actually located in the same building as Caution Brewing West, which closed years ago.
Because of the ice and snow, the Beer Model didn't really want to bike there, so we drove.
Old 121 doesn't serve food, but there are lots of restaurants around to pick up food to bring in. We got some from a pizza place across the street.
The brewery itself isn't very big. It's nice and cozy with lots of TV's to watch sports on.
As usual, we shared a couple of flights and then each had a pint. The beers were all real good. They had quite a few lagers to enjoy.
It was a nice lunch in a nice cozy local brewery. I would not be surprised if we come back.
Next up ... we need visit a "P" brewery. There are tons of "P" breweries on the Colorado Brewery Map & List, so we'll have a choice. It won't be P is for Pints Pub or P is for Peak to Peak Brewery or P is for Prost Brewing Company (at least not the Highlands Ranch location).
Keep an eye on Sheppy's Blog: A to Z to see what we end up going to.
And ... as always stay tuned on the regular SheppyBrew Channels to see what is happening with biking, brewing, barbequing, and other things: SheppyBrew's Facebook Page; Sheppy's Twitter Feed; SheppyBrew's Instagram Page; and SheppyBrew's Website.Of course, don't forget to visit this blog often as well!
